Phenomenal. It’s a word that Grady Auvil, one of Auvil Fruit’s founding brothers, would use to describe the taste of Gee Whiz Cherries. He was known as the strictest on flavor, and his strictness has withstood the test of time. Cherries are only ready for consumers when the taste is perfectly sweet.
It takes a lot of taste testing in the first couple of weeks before harvest to get the taste Auvil is looking for. We pick three and sometimes four times before we can say that passion meets flavor and we’re ready to share our cherries with you.
Auvil puts an unbelievable amount of labor intensity into our farming methods. We don’t waste a dime on making sure it’s the best quality we can produce. We also give credit to mother nature and a climate conducive to growing cherries. We’re producing the right product in the right place.
Once we’ve achieved that phenomenal flavor we’re seeking, we pick the cherries in one day, pack them the next day and transport them to stores on the third day. We take pride in the fact that our expedience and our flavor sets us apart from the rest of the market.
While brother Grady Auvil would say our cherries are phenomenal, anybody else we talk to proclaims our cherries are the best in the world.
